Football Opens Spring Practice Wednesday

March 27, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team will open its 2007 spring practice season Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. at Seibert Stadium. The practice is the first for new head coach Pat Sullivan and his staff. The team will practice 15 times during the four-week period, ending on April 26 with the team's Spring Game. The team will practice in helmets and shorts the first two days of practice, and the first day of full pads work is scheduled for Friday, March 30. The Bulldogs will scrimmage on April 14 at 10:30 a.m., April 20 at 3:45 p.m. and April 26 at 7:00 p.m. Samford returns seven starters on each side of the ball from last year's team. The 2007 season will be Samford's fifth and final in the Ohio Valley Conference, as the program will move to Southern Conference for the 2008 season. 2007 SAMFORD FOOTBALL SPRING PRACTICE SCHEDULE
