BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford football team wrapped up spring practice with its final scrimmage Thursday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The scrimmage lasted about an hour and a half. Head Coach Pat Sullivan said the scrimmage was a positive end to the team's spring practice. "I thought it was a good scrimmage," Sullivan said. "The offense made some plays. The defense forced a couple of turnovers, which was good. I thought there were some positives on both sides of the ball." Sophomore starting quarterback Dustin Taliaferro completed 16-of-24 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown. Taliaferro connected with wide receiver DeMarcus Covington on a seven-yard touchdown in the fourth drive of the scrimmage.
