BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford Director of Athletics Bob Roller and Head Football Coach Bill Gray accepted a donation for the Evans and Jemie Lynn Whaley Football Scholarship Fund from the 117th Air Refueling Wing on Tuesday, March 7.

Present at the presentation of the check were Lieutenant Colonel Cliff James, Colonel Steve Berryhill, Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Newton, Lieutenant Colonel Ed Smith and Doug Wilson.

The Scholarship Fund is in memory of Evans and Jemie Lynn Whaley, the late parents of former Samford football players Andy and Jim Whaley. Jim Whaley is currently a pilot in the 117th Air Refueling Wing.
