BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Members of the 1971 Samford University national championship football team presented two bulldog statues to head coach Pat Sullivan Friday morning.

The 1971 team posted a 9-1 record and were winners of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the Division II National Championship game.

The team presented two bulldog statues, one to be displayed in the football offices and one that will go outside Seibert Stadium.
