Another of the most improved defensive backs in the secondary . . . is smart on the field and puts himself in positions to make plays . . . emerged from spring as a starter at corner due to the injury to Tucker . . . will play a great deal even if Tucker replaces him in starting lineup.

2001: Earned his first letter, playing in eight games . . . recorded 13 tackles (11 solo) along with a fumble recovery . . . posted two stops in each of the first two games against Chattanooga and Gardner-Webb . . . also recovered a fumble at Gardner-Webb in the Bulldogs’ triple overtime victory. . . made one tackle at Nicholls State, then posted a career-high three stops against Jacksonville State . . . made one tackle in each of the next two games against Charleston Southern and UT–Martin . . . had two tackles against Eastern Kentucky and finished the season with one stop against VMI.

2000: Participated as a member of the bulldogs’ special teams and on the scout team.

1999: Redshirted.

High School: Totaled 55 tackles as a senior and was named to the All-Metro team.

Personal: Born Dec. 29, 1981 . . . son of Ralph Sr. and Mimmie Williams . . . majoring in biology.
