Rocky Sabbatini enters his first season as the video coordinator for the Samford football team. Sabbatini coordinates the filming and editing of all practices and games, as well as video exchange with opponents.

Sabbatini comes to Samford after serving as a video assistant with the Atlanta Falcons since 2003. In his role with the Falcons, Sabbatini filmed and edited games, practices and meetings. He prepared weekly film breakdowns for coaches and players and created NFL Draft profile tapes. He also assisted with the team motivational tapes.

Before his stint with the Falcons, Sabbatini served as a video department intern with the St. Louis Rams from 2002 to 2003. With the Rams, he organized and delivered video stills on game days, intercut practice tapes, copied and distributed practice tapes and organized the video tapes for each season.

In the fall of 2001, Sabbatini was the video coordinator for Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo. At Cape Central, he was in charge of organizing and managing that season's video tapes. In addition to videotaping all practices and games, he also scouted opposing teams.

From 1996 to 1999, he was a video assistant for the Southeast Missouri State University football team. At SEMO, he was in charge of videotaping and copying practices and games, and he was responsible for videotape exchange.

Sabbatini is a 2002 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mass communication with emphasis on video production, and he earned a minor in coaching.

Sabbatini and his wife Breanna reside in the Birmingham area.
