SAMFORD: Samford is 4-6 on the season and will be looking to snap a four game losing streak against an Ole Miss team that brings an 8-2 mark into the game. The Rebels are 7-0 at home this season and are playing their four-straight home game. Samford on the other hand is wrapping up an eight-game road trip. Phillip Ramelli leads Samford averaging 12.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Ramelli is 2nd in the A-Sun in FG percentage at 64 percent. Tyson Dorsey is averaging 10.8 points per game after a 12-point effort against South Alabama. He is 28-59 (47.5%) from three-point range this season.

OLE MISS: The Rebels are 8-2 on the season their only losses coming on the road to East Carolina in their opener and at Memphis on Dec. 19. Justin Reed leads Ole Miss averaging 14 points per game. He scored 15 points in a 71-38 victory over Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Saturday. Reed has been in double figures in seven of the Rebels 10 games this season. Aaron Harper is averaging 13.2 points and David Sanders is averaging 10.2 points per contest. Harper had been in double figures in nine straight games before only scoring three points against UA Pine-Bluff.

NOTES: The Bulldogs have never beaten the Rebels in seven previous meetings. The last meeting was an 80-66 Ole Miss victory in Oxford on Dec. 8, 1984. The Bulldogs have made at least one three-point field goal in 334 straight games. The last game in which Samford did not make a three-point basket was on Jan. 29, 1991. Samford has not dropped five-straight games in head coach Jimmy Tillette's six-year tenure. The last time the Bulldogs dropped five-straight was during the 1993-94 season.

NEXT: Samford will finally return home to open the Atlantic Sun Conference schedule against Belmont on Saturday. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
