Bulldogs Celebrate Senior Day Against Campbell on Saturday

SAMFORD: Samford is looking to go 6-2 at home in conference as it hosts Campbell on Senior Day. The Bulldogs will honor Cornell Felton prior to the game. Felton has started in 81 of 83 games and has scored 639 points, 216 rebounds, 270 assists, and 101 steals in his three seasons at Samford. The Bulldogs are in 2nd place in the North two games behind Belmont with two to play. Samford and Belmont face off in the regular season finale next week. Phillip Ramelli continues to lead Samford averaging 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Ramelli scored a career-high 21 points in the Bulldogs win over Gardner-Webb on Thursday. Eddie Harper will make his seventh start of the year after a career high 18 point, seven rebound game on Thursday. CAMPBELL: The Atlantic Sun Conference player-of-the-week Tarick Johnson leads the Camels who are 5-19 on the season and 1-12 in conference play. Johnson recorded back-to-back 30 point performances against Lipscomb and Gardner-Webb last week. He leads the team and the conference in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game but was held to just eight points in Campbell's 74-56 loss at Belmont on Thursday. Robby Dupre and Dominique Klein were in double-figures against the Bruins. Jonte' Edwards is second on the team scoring 11.7 points and leads the team in rebounding at 5.7 per game. The Camels are last in the A-Sun in rebounding grabbing just 27.7 rebounds per game. INSIDE STUFF: Samford is 12-5 all-time against Campbell after winning 62-53 in Buies Creek earlier this season. The Bulldogs have won the last seven meetings in Birmingham. Campbell's last win in Birmingham was Feb. 9, 1980.
UP NEXT: The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season schedule at Belmont on Feb. 28. The Bulldogs and Bruins will play in the final A-Sun game of the week on CSS. Tip off is schedule for 7 p.m.
