Saturday's game features two of the top four teams in the conference in field goal pct., three-point field goal pct., assists, assist/turnover ratio and three-point field goals per game.

The Bulldogs and the Bruins have tipped it off 21 times in a series dating back to 1953, with Samford holding an 11-10 overall advantage. The Bulldogs lead 8-3 in Birmingham overall in the series, but Belmont has won the last two meetings in the Magic City. The Bruins defeated Samford 69-58 in Birmingham last season, holding the Bulldogs to 37.5 percent shooting overall and 21.9 percent from the three-point line.

Samford won five straight from 1966-1983, but Jimmy Tillette has lost four of his five encounters with Belmont, including the 66-60 loss in Nashville on Jan. 12. Both teams are looking to end losing streaks, Samford a three-game skid and Belmont a four-game slide.
