Men's Basketball Falls To Central Florida, 72-56

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Ray Abellard scored 25 points and Joey Graham added 20 to lead Central Florida to a 72-56 victory Thursday over Samford.
The Golden Knights (14-10, 10-7 Atlantic Sun) went on a 24-4 run early in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs (13-12, 10-7).
Phillip Ramelli led Samford with 12 points.
With the score tied at 36 to open the second half, the Golden Knights turned the ball over twice, leading to five Samford points. But Central Florida's Paul Reed scored on a layup to open the Golden Knights' onslaught.
The Bulldogs shot 5-20 from 3-point range while Central Florida was 11-17.
