One of the Bulldogs' strongest and most versatile players . . . has the skill and finesse needed to operate effectively on the perimeter and the strength to play inside.

Junior (2002-03): Started five of 25 games played . . . had a season-high 12 points, all in the first half at Georgia State, on 4-6 shooting from the floor, 2-4 from three-point range and 2-2 from the free-throw line . . . recorded a season-high eight rebounds at UIC . . . averaged nine minutes, 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game game . . . went 2-2 from the floor at Campbell.

Sophomore (2001-02): Knocked down season-high four field goals in A-Sun Tournament game against UCF Feb. 28 . . . started the first five games of the season, scoring 11 points at Alabama Nov. 14 . . . averaged 15.6 minutes per game . . . one of the strongest players on the team, also has a good shooting touch . . . grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in victory over Florida Atlantic Feb. 16.

Freshman (2000-01): Scored in double digits twice, including his career high of 22 points against Campbell Jan. 22 . . . shot 8-of-10, including 6-of-7 from three-point range, from the field in that game . . . tallied 14 points in the Bulldogs' overtime win against UCF Feb. 15 . . . played big on the glass vs. Toledo, grabbing 13 boards . . . averaged 4.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game for the season . . . started 25 games and played in all 29 . . . averaged 23 minutes per game for the season, but minutes rose considerably more toward the end of the season.

1999-2000: Redshirted.

High School: Scored 20.1 points and grabbed nine rebounds per contest as a junior at Colquitt County HS in Moultrie, Ga. . . . was named the team's Most Improved Player . . . played for the Torsten Loibl club team while in Germany . . . played on a German Third League Championship team.

Personal: Born October 13, 1978 . . . son of Jochen and Barbara Sachse . . . father won a silver medal in the hammer throw in the 1972 Olympics . . . mother was a high jumper . . . speaks three languages (English, German, Russian) . . . last name is pronounced SOCK-suh . . . majoring in accounting.
