Rucker Taylor will serve as the outfield coach, assist with infielders, and hitting.

"We are very excited to have Rucker joining our coaching staff," head coach Casey Dunn said. "He has played at the highest levels of college baseball and recently participated in a Super Regional. He brings that experience as well to our staff."

Taylor is a 2006 graduate of Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt he saw significant starting time at both second base and shortstop, and was a member of the first Vanderbilt team to reach a Super Regional in 2004 against the University of Texas.

Taylor had a stellar high school career at Bayside Academy where he played for current Samford Associate Head Coach Tony David.
