Pitched well out of the bullpen last year . . . will be expected to throw a lot of innings this season.

2008 (Freshman): Appeared in 19 games, starting four contests . . . posted a record of 3-1 and an ERA of 5.06 in 48.0 innings of work . . . earned his first collegiate win, pitching 5.2 innings and giving up one earned run on two hits against Miami of Ohio . . . gave up just one run over 4.0 innings in earning the win over Tennessee-Martin . . . made his first start, earning the win at Murray State . . . pitched 5.0 strong innings, giving up one run in game three at Tennessee Tech . . . pitched 3.1 innings in relief, allowing just one earned run against Tennessee Tech in the OVC Tournament.

High School: A three-year varsity letterman at Pope High School . . . named Scholar-Athlete . . . posted a 4-1 record as a junior.
