2002 (Sophomore): Redshirt freshman who made his first appearance against Eastern Kentucky . . . pitched one shutout inning in the final game of the Campbell series . . . made three appearances . . . pitched four innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits and striking out one . . . finished with a 6.75 ERA .

High School: A member of 1999 and 2000 Area Championship Teams in football and baseball at Shades Valley HS . . . selected to the Jefferson County East-West All-Star Team . . . earned Birmingham News All-Metro Honorable Mention honors as a junior and senior . . . posted a 16-4 record as a starting pitcher for the Shades Valley varsity team . . . recorded a 3.25 ERA over junior and senior seasons . . . captain of the football team.
