2001 (Freshman): Saw action in 35 games and started in 17 games . . . recorded his first collegiate hit against Southeastern Louisiana and finished the two-game series 2-for-6 with one run scored . . . had at least one hit in four consecutive games from April 24 to April 28 . . . went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored against Mercer April 28.

High School: Played on the Leeds HS football team that won the area championship four consecutive years . . . also played on the Leeds baseball area championship team in 1997 and 1998 . . . earned All-State honors in football and baseball as a senior . . . Jefferson County Player of the Year in 4-A baseball . . .
