NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Lauren Blankenship was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Female Track Athlete of the Week, Wednesday morning by the league office in Nashville, Tenn. The freshman from Alpharetta, Ga. won the 5000m at the Spec Towns Invitational in a school record time of 17:47.84.

Blankenship won the OVC Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors three times during the fall and this is her first honor of the spring.

The Bulldogs travel to Oxford, Miss. this weekend for the Ole Miss Invitation on April 17.
