Lauren Blankenship Receives OVC Female Track Athlete Of The Week Honors, Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Sophomore Lauren Blankenship earned OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week accolades, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon (April 12). Last week at the Texas Relays, Blankenship placed third in the 5000m with a Samford all-time record time and a OVC season-best time of 16:56.55. She also ran the anchor leg in the women's distance medley race and posted an 11th place finish with a Samford all-time record time of 11.54.01.
