AUSTIN, Texas ---- The Samford University track and field team completed competition at day three of the 79th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The Bulldogs had athletes competing in two events, as Laura Malnati competed in the women's high jump, and the men's 4x1500-meter relay team ran on Friday.

In the women's high jump, Malnati tied her own school record of 5'07.00'' for the second time this season to tie for 10th overall. Malnati first set the record in 2005, and then tied it earlier this season at the FSU Snowbird Invitational on March 4.

"Laura is continuing her consistency," said Samford head coach Glenn McWaters. "She has been very consistent throughout the year, and I'm very pleased with how well she's performing."

The men's 4x1500-meter relay team turned in a time of 17:07.25 in the event. The Bulldog foursome of Drew Anderwald, Cameron Bean, Michael Hanson and Chris West finished fifth in the event.

The 79th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays conclude on Saturday. Samford's Robyn DeBenedet will run in the women's 1500 meters. Live results will be posted at www.texassports.com.
