AUSTIN, Tex. - Sophomore Lauren Blankenship finished the 5000m run at the Texas Relays, on Thursday evening (April 7), in third-place overall with a Samford all-time record time of 16:56.55.

Also competing for the Bulldogs, Britney Almaguer placed 23rd in 5000m run with a time of 18:48.26, while Michael Smith finished the 400m hurdles in 24th place with a personal- best time of 53.64.

The Bulldogs will finish competition at the Texas Relays with the women's distance medley event on Saturday (April 9), in Austin, Tex.
