Final Stats

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - At the Alabama Relays, Samford's women set a school record and finished fourth in the 4x1500 meter relay on the final day of competition at The University of Alabama.

The Bulldog women placed fourth in the 4x1500 meter relay with a time of 19.33.25, shattering the previous mark of 19:55.15 set last season. Samford finished behind Loyola Chicago (18:56.25), Chattanooga (19:07.01) and Mississippi State (19:16.78). The Bulldogs topped teams from Pittsburgh (19:50.59, Western Michigan (20:01.04), Alabama (20:07.92), Southern Miss (20:15.17) and Vanderbilt (20:45.94).

The women also finished 13th in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:57.32.

The Bulldog men also ran in the 4x1500 meter relay, posting a time of 16:31.34 that placed them seventh in the 14-team field. The Bulldogs finished behind Loyola Chicago (15:58.84), Chattanooga (15:58.84), McNeese State (16:01.39), Western Kentucky (16:26.20), Memphis (16:27.20) and Middle Tennessee State (16:30.96). The list of schools the Bulldogs topped included host Alabama, Mississippi State, A-Sun rival Troy State, Vanderbilt and Louisville.
