AUBURN, Ala. - A group of 24 Samford track and field athletes finished in the Top 5 of their events March 16-17 at the Auburn Springtime Invitational.

Tara Bourque won the women's 1,500 meter run and Stephanie Flarity won the women's 400 meter low hurdles to lead the Samford women, while Derrick Moore won the men's 110 meter high hurdles to record a win for the men's team.

Heidi Sauers placed in five events for the Bulldogs: sixth in the 100 meter dash, third in the 100 meter low hurdles, eighth in the high jump, second in the long jump, and fourth in the javelin throw.

Running unattached, Alan Parish placed second in the 1,500 meter run and third in the 3,000 meter run, and Moore also placed second in the 400 meter intermediate hurdles.
