Fall Internet Broadcast Schedule Announced

Sept. 4, 2003

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford athletic department announced its fall internet video broadcasting schedule Thursday. The new video offerings on "BulldogVision," provided by Texas-based MaxVu Sports Broadcasting Network (MSBN), will allow fans to watch select Samford games online from the comfort of their own home.

Football, women's soccer, and volleyball are the fall sports that can be viewed online. Non-conference games against Southern Miss and Mississippi State highlight the women's soccer schedule, while contests with pre-season OVC favorite Southeast Missouri State and defending conference co-champion Murray State spice up the football broadcast schedule. Both soccer and football will also feature live broadcasts of senior day games against in-state and conference rival Jacksonville State.

The volleyball schedule will include matches against Jacksonville State, Austin Peay, and Morehead State, as well as Samford's first two rounds of play in the Union State Bank/Samford Invitational Tournament.

To access the games, simply click on the MSBN link on the "Multimedia" page of SamfordSports.com, or type in https://www.maxvusports.tv/bulldogvision/ as the web address on your internet browser. Then, follow the prompts to register and set up your computer. Live tech support will also be available for fans experiencing computer problems.

Though each game's audio will be offered for free, various subscription packages will be available for fans that choose to actually watch the games. Individual games can be seen for only $8 per contest, and sport-specific season ticket packages can also be purchased. For a limited time, fans can also pay one early registration fee to have access to all of Samford's online video events this year, which will total over 60 events through the spring.

Periodic sport-specific coaches' shows will also be offered for free throughout the school year. Stay tuned to the MSBN website for specific dates and times.

For information about the MSBN services, please e-mail SamfordRadio@yahoo.com, subject "Online" for help with specific questions.
